1st Trip To Fredericksburg

Last year I had wanted to go to Fredericksburg so bad to get some delicious peaches but it just didn't happen. So this season I was determined! Jennifer had been checking online to see when they would have an abundance and turns out there are alot of peaches this year!

Now to try and plan an outing or event during the summer with the Harrison's is practically impossible. After mid-June their weekends are full of family events and birthdays. So we decided to go early to make sure we didn't miss our chance. Unfortunately, the day we decided to go, Josh had a job he was working on and couldn't join us. I decided to go anyway.

So the boys and I left the house at 7:30am to be sure we would make it to the orchard by 9am. We wanted to get there as early as possible to make sure we would get a good selection. Only problem was the popular orchard was out of peaches for the weekend, so we had to go to this other one and just hope they would be good. We pulled in right at 9am and the boys were very excited...Isaiah was a little tired because he refused to take a nap on the way up...but in good moods. We got our boxes and were off!

Ryan was so sweet to help me with the boys!

Isaiah did good, but I had to keep a very close eye on him because he would pick up all the ones on the ground and put them in his mouth...some were ok, some not so ok!

Cheese!

So it turned out that these peaches were not very good. I think we will have to come back and visit the Marburger Orhcard. The experience was alot of fun though!

Joshua Creek

Ryan and Jenny invited us to come out to Joshua Creek with them and do some swimming and fishing. Ryan loves it out there and we hadn't been yet and were excited to check it out.

When we got there the Ryan and the kids were playing/fishing. We all ate dinner and then the kids ran back to play some more. Josh was excited to fish because he really hasn't gotten to this year yet. Since Jenny was at a photo shoot, that left me in charge of the kids, yes all 5!

It was beautiful! The trees were so big and tall and the water was the perfect height for the kids. They played for a while and then, after Ryan had caught a fish, were all interested in fishing.

This was the first time Ethan has been able to use his fishing pole he got for his birthday. He casted out the line all by himself, and caught a fish within about a minute....on his FIRST try!
Reel it in, son!
YEAH! (This picture looks a little weird because its a scan. I lost some of the pictures that I took that night. I don't know how or where they went but from the download to the upload somewhere they disappeared. I'm convinced my computer ate them. And I am so mad because I took alot of pictures and got alot of great ones! I'm glad that I got this one uploaded to Costco.com so at least I can have a hard copy. UUGGG!)
Colby's fish
Ayden's fish
And all the while the older kids were catching fish, one after the next, Isaiah just watched, eating his banana!

Ainsley slept soundly through it all. She woke up just as her mommy was coming back from her shoot. Right on time for dinner!

Fun In The Sprinkler

The first day of June and it's no surprise that it is HOT! The boys have been wanting to play outside but its just too sweltering for us to go out. But today I broke!

It had been a long day and the boys needed something different to do. We don't have a pool close by (well we do, but you have to pay $2 per person to swim and I didn't want to spend the $$) so I decided to bear the heat and let them play in the sprinkler. Josh just finished mowing the lawn yesterday so the yard was perfect to play in.

When I first turned on the water, it came out warm because the hose was hot, but quickly it became cool. We started small so they could get used to it and I didn't get wet...

Ok, maybe it was a little too small...
but it was the perfect height for Isaiah!
Then we moved on to bigger and better...
and Isaiah almost drowned!
He didn't care though! He was having so much fun!
After about 10 minutes Ethan said, "Mom, can you make it hotter?" I laughed and tried to explain to him that I have no control of the temperature of the the water that comes out of the hose, but he didn't understand. He grew bored quickly and I hadn't killed enough time yet to go inside, so I brought out the cups and pitchers. They really liked that, although Isaiah couldn't figure out how to get the water to stay in the cup. It took Ethan 30 min to fill this pitcher up...he was very proud.
I do have to add that I am still so upset that some of the pictures from today got deleted or something after I loaded them onto the computer, and I had so many cute ones! :( But I am trying to be thankful for the ones I still do have. It was fun and we will definately do this again. Fun, easy, free...I love it!

All By Himself!

My little boy is growing up. He has moved on from oatmeal every morning to real cereal with milk, just like his brother! His favorite is Blueberry Mini Wheats. He does a really good job feeding himself!
Concentrate...

If the spoon isn't working, then use the fingers of course!

Showering The Ebroms

Michael Travis will be here soon so its time to celebrate before his birth! We had a nice little shower at Kristina's favorite breakfast place, The Magnolia House. We had about 16 in attendance and everything was so nice. We knew it would be an emotional day, given all that has happened during the pregnancy, but we were all ready! Kristina and Mike, and Ellie too, were blessed with love and many, much needed items for little McTravis.

Ashley did these beautiful flower arrangements.
Kristina's FAVORTIE book: On the Night You Were Born

Jennifer made Michael's name for his room...let the tears flow!

Look at these CUTE shoes!
I made a scrapbook for the pregnancy and his first few precious months....more tears!
Ashley made a blanket with his initials...and of course, more tears!
And this is the car seat cover Ashley aslo made. She is so talented!

We are ready for you sweet boy! Can't wait to meet you!!
