Life Group these days has been lots of fun! There has been lots of bike and scooter riding and throwing frisbees after our prayer time and dinner. One evening I snapped some pictures to capture some memories of this special group!

Last Hoorah of Summer
The last day before school started we headed to Austin to try out one of their free splash pads. We got there early and were the only ones playing on the pad. About 20 min in, a bunch of people started to show up. This pad was not big enough for all those people and I was slightly annoyed. Kids started asking for lunch at 10:30…what?! I blame the Gibbins for that! I made mine wait until at least after 11. Once lunch was scarfed, they were over the splash pad, so we moved to the park to play some frisbee. Lauren and Erin had to leave shortly after to be back by a certain time, and I was a little upset that we didn’t spend that much time in Austin. In fact, we spent more time in the car than out…
….So after stopping to get a shake at Erin’s beloved Steak n Shake, I stopped on the way home at the famous giant play land in San Marcos. They were IN LOVE! Kept saying over and over, this is AWESOME! If only it were cooler…we will definitely go back this fall when the weather is more bearable.

2nd Grade, What?!
At the end of August we had Ethan’s meet the teacher night. We brought all his school supplies, saw his classroom and where his desk would be. This year, he will be in the TAG program, which will offer extra challenges for him. I’m excited that he gets to go all day, EVERY Monday. He comes home on those days with lots of stories on what cool things they did. Ethan I can’t believe you are in second grade already! Soon it will be middle school and I can’t even imagine!
Bowling For Free!
During the summer, the bowling allies let children bowl 2 free games a day! It really is quite the deal, and my boys just love it, so we went several times this summer. Jacob would bowl the first and maybe second frame then would be over it. But we stayed for both games anyway since Ethan and Isaiah really enjoyed it. The following pictures are from all the times we went…just wanted to wrap them into one. Hopefully they will enjoy it next summer too!

Jacob’s Milk and Cookie Party
Just two short years ago, Jacob was born into our family. How time flies! He is such a joy to us, always making us laugh. He loves trains and cars and riding his plasma car. He has a huge vocabulary and often makes us smile at his pronunciation of some! He loves playing following the leader with Isaiah and Ethan is such a sweet big brother and always helping him with things. This by far is my favorite age!
For his birthday we had a milk and cookies party because his absolute favorite thing is cookies. Chocolate chip to be specific. I often find his hand in the chocolate chips container in the pantry! I had fun planning this party and it turned out so cute!
Fiesta Texas
Ethan earned himself a free ticket to Fiesta Texas in the reading program at school and I was excited to share the day with some of our good friends! After planning on going the LAST day before the ticket expired, I got Grammy to watch the other 2 and we were off for the whole day! It was so much fun!!
We rode the high swing ride…and when I say high, I mean 200 ft in the air! It was awesome!
The boys loved this Scooby doo ride!
Before heading to the water park, we bought this refillable icee boot and it was so yummy!

4th Of July
We started out the 4th (early) with a trip to the zoo with the Gibbins. We looked at all the animals, fed some birds, and visited the petting area. Despite the heat, we had a great time!
Josh tried hard to get Jacob to pet this HUGE pig but he was not having it!
We attempted a picture with all the kiddos…and in true Isaiah fashion…
After the zoo, we went home for lunch and naps, then drove out to Chris and Ash’s for some swimming and fireworks. Nobody does fireworks like Chris!!
After swimming, Chris brought out his boats to drive on the pond. Kids loved it!
I know these next few aren’t very clear, but there was a lot of smoke from the sparklers.
