Jacob 7 Months

Here's the update on Jacob: He is sitting up really well now. He is starting to roll across the floor, you know figuring out that he can get something if he rolls to it. No crawling yet, but I am not complaining! I kinda like that he is still stationary! He's doing this funny thing with his tongue, where he sticks it out...I think he is feeling those two teeth he has on the bottom! What a happy baby he is, always smiling! He does like his mommy to hold him though, which gives me shoulder aches because he weighs 19 lbs!! He is really getting into his solid foods..and loving those puffs. Sleeping pretty good at night, for now. My he's growing up so fast!

Mother-Son Date Knight

Tonight was a special night! My two oldest boys and I went on our first "date"! Now, I put that in quotes because this really isn't our first time out without daddy. I actually do that alot, we just don't call it a date. I would like to start doing individual dates with the boys, though.

Anyway, Chick-fil-a was hosting a mother-son date knight so, since I love Chick-fil-a, it was an instant yes! Josh took Jacob so I could just be with Ethan and Isaiah. We went with our friends Reef, Jonas, Lachlan and Liam. We had a great time!

Spring Is In The Air

Jacob: 6 Months Already!

So it turns out that I didn't take many pictures in February...crazy birthday month for us! But I did manage to get Jacob's 6 month portraits done...THANK YOU JENNIFER! I am so blessed to have a professional photographer as my best friend!! As always, his pictures turned out so darling!!

Our Night Away

It happened, I turned 30! A good friend of ours, Chris, also turned 30 this month, so as a celebration of our birthdays, we went and spent a night downtown. Some more of our good friends, Stacia and Stefan, joined us (me, Josh, Chris, Erin, Troy and Lauren) for dinner at Boehlers (sp?) and then for dessert at another resturant. We then went back to the hotel and played games for a few hours. The Craftons had to get back to their kiddos, so we called it a night around 11pm. I know that sounds early but I was pooped! I can't tell you how bummed I am that I didn't get a picture of all 8 of us..or even just the girls!
The next morning we went to the Guenther House for breakfast. I hadn't heard much about the place...and then Josh comes out with this enormous cinnamon roll for us to snack on while we were waiting for a table. Ok, the best cinnamon roll I have ever had. I even bought another to take home and share with the boys later for a snack!
What a wonderful time we had. I had such anxiety about coming for a night out, mostly where Jacob was concerned. But it turned out that he did perfectly. My mom stayed the night at our house, he took the bottles for her without a fuss, and slept soundly. Thank you Lord for that wonderful gift. And thank you to Chris for inviting us to come...and pushing me to be serious about bottle feeding Jacob so I could have a night away! It was so much fun! Can't wait for our bed and breakfast night away!

Will You Be My Valentine?

So yesterday Ethan asked Josh, "Who is your valentine?". Josh told him it was mommy. Ethan replied, "But I was going to ask her to be my valentine." Awww..so Josh told him I could be both their valentines. I know this picture only has 2 of my 4 guys..but its too good not to post!

Ethan's 6th Birthday

Wow, Ethan is 6! We took them to Amazing Jump for the first time back in December and Ethan said its where he wanted to have his birthday party...so here we are!

We were only allowed a certain amount of guests, so he had a hard time narrowing down his list! He and his friends had such a great time! The party turned out wonderful!!

Since Jacob has refused rice cereal, we thought we would give oatmeal a try. Unfortunately, he has no interest in this either! Oh, and he loves to spit, too. Makes for some fun clean up! I sure hope he starts to eat some solids soon though!

MT Jam!

Its that time again! Monster Truck Show! This will be Isaiah's first year, and he is very excited! My aunt Connye, who works for KKYX radio, got us 8 tickets to the show, so in addition to Ryan and Colby, we invited the Gibbins boys too. They had a great time! And thank you to my hubby for remembering to take pictures!
