Jacob 20 Months

So I know that its kind of random because I haven’t been updating each month on Jacob, but April had some cute moments that I’d like to remember.

He can drive Cars cars for extended periods of time…

Tried corn on the cob for the first time and it was love at first bite! He really couldn’t get enough, so we had it a lot that month!

Missing Ms. Theresa

Today we went to the park for the Preschool end of the year party. Kids had a blast and Isaiah was especially pleased with having a piece of cake AND a cookie! We were incredibly blessed to have Ms. Theresa as our teacher this year! She has a gift for teaching children!

Testing the Waters

We went to Chris and Ashley’s house to try out the very anticipated swimming hole. Its basically a pond in the front yard of their landlord’s house. The boys were very excited, but we knew it might be a little chilly still, being that it was only the middle of April. We went anyway…

They were SUPER cold!

Excuse the long hair please. I am aware they need a haircut. But look at that face! Such a priceless smile!

Easter Happenings

Easter this year was crazy. Ok, its crazy every year, yadda, yadda. We just have so many different hunts that we are a part of. So I condensed the egg-finding photos since they are kind of redundant, to the cutest ones.
The boys at an impromptu hunt at Grammy's

So Josh went away Easter weekend with his dad on a much needed 3 day hiking trip. After 2 months on the new job, just being in God's creation with nothing to think about but the Almighty was something he was desperate for. On Saturday, Jenny invited me to her family's annual Easter party. I was very excited for this because it is quite the party. Games, egg-hunt, pinata, prizes...hosted by her mom, who pulls out all the stops! The boys had a great time...and were very excited to find that the eggs didn't just have candy. They were filled with toys and trinkets and money. Ethan and Isaiah both got $1 and change and were stoked about that.

The egg hunt at church was put off til the weekend after Easter. Sorry about the blurry ones!

 Happy Easter!!

Ethan's Dr. Seuss Program

Ethan had a program at school back at the end of March and they sang a bunch of songs about Dr. Seuss books. It was super cute! I attached a video of one of the songs, I just love it!

Water Wars

Our favorite place for LifeGroup these days is the Crafton's house. With their beautiful new home, and acreage for the kids to run around on, its all around a GREAT time for everyone! After dinner one night, the children started a very innocent "spitting water at each other game". It soon turned into cup fulls and then bucket fulls of water...that's when some of the dads got in on the action. Josh stayed away shooting hoops and the moms safely inside...all the while, the boys had the time of their lives!!

Festival Of Tails

Back in March...I promise I will catch up to present day soon!
My friend Stacia was talking about this kite festival they were going to in Austin and I thought it would be so fun for the kids! We couldn't make the Austin one, but they were having one in SA and we decided to try it out with the Gibbins! It was a beautiful day and the kites flew great! There were some HUGE ones out there too!

The kids made their own paper kites and Jacob had fun flying that one!
The boys ran back and forth in this field flying their kites.

We were deceived by our kite's packaging and thought it would be a good size, but it was a tiny little thing! Even still, it flew great!

They also had this dog parade and some people when ALL OUT! Seriously?! LOL!
