Ethan's 6th Birthday

Wow, Ethan is 6! We took them to Amazing Jump for the first time back in December and Ethan said its where he wanted to have his birthday party...so here we are!
We were only allowed a certain amount of guests, so he had a hard time narrowing down his list! He and his friends had such a great time! The party turned out wonderful!!

Maybe Oatmeal?

Since Jacob has refused rice cereal, we thought we would give oatmeal a try. Unfortunately, he has no interest in this either! Oh, and he loves to spit, too. Makes for some fun clean up! I sure hope he starts to eat some solids soon though!

MT Jam!

Its that time again! Monster Truck Show! This will be Isaiah's first year, and he is very excited! My aunt Connye, who works for KKYX radio, got us 8 tickets to the show, so in addition to Ryan and Colby, we invited the Gibbins boys too. They had a great time! And thank you to my hubby for remembering to take pictures!

My Boys

My sister-in-law saw this pose on pinterest and thought we should do one like it with Josh and the boys. We meant to do it when Jacob was a baby, but time just gets away from us too quick! We finally made it over to Jenny's studio and pulled off a great pic of all the guys! In hindsight, we probably should have re-thought Jacob being naked, but it still turned out so cute! Thanks Jennifer!!

Jacob: Months 4 & 5

These past couple of months Jacob has really started showing his personality. He's playing with toys, started bouncing in his jumper (which is great for me!), and loves to be tickled, particularly when his belly is exposed.
He has also become quite the butterball! We tried introducing foods to him, like cereal and some baby foods, but he really could not be less interested! I'm kinda bummed, but hopefully he will take to them soon.
His brothers absolutely adore him! Sometimes Isaiah gets a little too close, like giving him a hug by practically laying on top of him, so I keep a close eye. He's still not rolling around so at least I don't have to worry about him getting stepped on!
Jacob & his "twinkie" cousin Colton, who is 3 wks younger. This was taken at Thanksgiving.
First time in the bumbo.
First time in the jumper..
Trying cereal..I wish I got a picture of his face once it was in his mouth!

Its Christmas Morning!

So this year we scaled back a bit on the gifts for the boys. We just feel they might get a sense of entitlement the more and more "things" they get. However, they were still in hog heaven!
Grammy and Papa came over again this year, even though Christmas fell on Sunday. It was wonderful having them here. It doesn't feel like Christmas morning unless they are here!
Another Christmas morning come and gone! All that planning...out the window in ten minutes flat!

Breakfast with Santa

We had lots of fun at breakfast this morning! Saw our friends, santa, and sang some songs. We did a really cute handprint craft too! Yay for Christmas!

Casting Crowns

When I heard Casting Crowns was coming back to SA, I knew I was going to find a way to go! I love these guys!! So we invited Ryan and Jenny and my in-laws to come with us...and had a GREAT time! After intermission, we went and sat by some of our best friends Chris and Ashley and the Jacksons (they had seats open next to them). What an awesome experience! So many people in one room praising and worshiping our wonderful God..He is Good!

Thankful Tree

I got this great idea to make a thankful tree this year. Each day (or at least we tried to) we each thought of something we were thankful for. Each time you had to think of something different than what was already on the tree. We kept adding all the way up to Thanksgiving. I am going to keep all the cards and next year we will take a look at what we were thankful for the year before and talk about how God is so good to us! I love this new tradition!

An attempted shot of the family but it didn't turn out great..
