Ethan was asked to be the ring bearer in Josh’s cousin’s wedding in June. He’s been excited about it, and Isaiah has been feeling a little left out with all the shopping we’ve done for Ethan’s suit…so I bought him a good looking shirt and tie to match Josh. He was pretty excited, and I had some really good looking boys!

Beach Trip 2013
We have been so excited for our family trip this year. With the new job, we haven’t seen much of Josh, and we are all looking forward to getting away for a couple of days. So as soon as Ethan’s last half day of school was out, we were on the road! Once we got there, we unloaded and changed, then headed to the beach. The weather wasn’t looking very promising so we wanted to get out there before the storm hit! I apologize for the pictures, they were a little dark. *There are a lot of pictures in this post!*
Look at that storm rolling in!! It was the coolest cloud coverage we had ever seen. Wish I had taken a picture.
Day 2’s weather was nice and all the kids were so excited. Unfortunately, Ryan and Jenny had car trouble which sent Jenny on a goose chase all over the island looking for parts. Eventually, Chris got the car fixed, but at the expense of Jenny missing most of the day on the beach with us (which left me to take pictures with my awesome camera...LOL). We had some trouble with jellyfish, I think 4 different people got stung, and several had some chafing going on. By late afternoon, the kids were done and ready for dry clothes.
Here is Ainsley with a rub from the lifeguard for her jellyfish sting.
Jacob was so excited about this kite!
Our group this year, minus Mike and Kristina. We missed you guys!! Next year, we are determined to have the WHOLE group there!

Last Day of 1st Grade
I feel like this school year went on for a long time! We were all excited to finally reach the last day, mostly because we were leaving for our family beach vacation the same day! As I looked back on the first day of this school year and compared it to the last, its always amazing to see how much change has come in under a year. They sure do grow up way too fast.

Breaking Out the Sprinkler
At the beginning of June we finally broke out the sprinkler! Despite the very hot day, the boys kept asking me to make the water warmer…um sorry guys, the outside faucet doesn’t work like that! They tiptoed around the water for a while, then decided the mud was more fun! As I sat silently cringing, they had a blast and, needless to say, took a bath when the playing was done. I promise, I’m getting better at my fear of dirtiness…
Please excuse Isaiah’s underwear…I promise we have swim trunks!

Doesn’t Happen Often
Since its very rare that I like pictures taken of me, I was pleasantly surprised when this picture of Jacob and I came out pretty good…
Mid Day Treat
As we turned into our 4th month of Josh’s new job, I can say that we were worn out. Lots of late nights for Josh which meant lots of time away from home and its super hard on the boys. But, the flexibility of his schedule meant that we frequently met him for lunch at any given park.
Today we tried out Landa library and it was so nice! We had our picnic while the boys played. Short but sweet.
