Ethan's Last Day of Kindergarten

Well, we made it! Today is Ethan's last day of kinder! I can't believe how fast this year has gone by! Its so true that your children grow up in the blink of an eye. Makes me so thankful I am able to take pictures to capture all the great moments, so that when they really are gone, I can look back and see the pictures of what life used to be. Anyway, this is his first and last days of kinder. He looks much more confident in the second one!

Cool Dudes

Ethan is really into basketball right now. I mean, he is playing all the time! I love that we have a hoop in the backyard so he can practice. He and daddy scrimmage and work on his shooting...and I have to say, he is good! Today was a bit sunny, like most days, and he couldn't see, so he grabbed some shades. Of course, Isaiah needed some too. And what do you know? Isaiah's are pink (his favorite color)! God blessed me with some handsome boys!

Isaiah's Program/Last Day of Mrs. Colleen's Class

So today was Isaiah's first preschool program...with Mrs. Colleen's class. Such a cute program! Started with the pledge, then they all sang a song together. Then each class had their own song they had prepared. Isaiah loved it!
Look how excited he is to see us!!

We are missing 2 here..a little stage fright for Holden and Liam. Maybe Adam and Lachlan scared them off with their bellies! HA!

Isaiah's last day of preschool..for this year at least. He had an ice cream party!! His favorite!

Mother's Day

This Mother's day was very sweet. My boys each did an "All About My Mom" questionnaire and each one brought me to tears. Not because I was surprised at my boys for being so sweet, but I guess because, to them, I am perfect...despite all my not-so-perfect moments. And that made me tear up because I am pretty hard on myself as a mother. I want to be the mother God created me to be, the mother who, everyday, shows the love of God through my actions and words. Many days I don't measure up, even a little bit. But I know that they love me anyway, affirming it through their writings of me. They also (along with Josh) gave me some beautiful flowers!

Josh's gift to me is my weekend away with the girls! And I can't wait for that!

First Sleepover

Ethan had his first ever sleepover (without Josh) tonight at Reef's house, after the Angry Birds birthday party. I was SHOCKED to hear that they were up til 10:15! Shocked, not because he stayed up that late, but because the Gibbins are always in bed between 7 & 7:30! I'm glad they had a fun time!

Riding the Bus

Today was the first day Ethan rode the bus home from school! I finally gave in, with 3 weeks left of school. I am already lovin' not having to wake both Jacob and Isaiah up from their naps to pick him up from school...and when I saw his face coming off the bus...I knew it was a good decision for all. He literally came RUNNING off the bus, he was so overjoyed!
Sorry you can't actually see his face...but there is a huge smile on it!

Jacob 8 Months

And another month has passed...
We are working on a few things at the moment. Yes, Jacob still weighs in the 20 lb range, what can I say? Hopefully when he gets movin' he'll shed some of those pounds. He is trying to get the hang of holding and tilting the cup by himself, the tilting is the hard part. Still not yet crawling, but again, I am so ok with that. Doing well with picking up food and he is eating more off our plates. He's also a very happy baby, which makes for a happy mommy.
Here are a few from this month:

Our First Scavenger Hunt

Ethan was off from school today and we needed something to do, badly. So I decided to drive up to Landa Park, which by itself is an awesome place with tons to do. But I added a scavenger hunt to the mix...and the boys were so excited (as was I)!! I love scavenger hunts, and am so thrilled that my firstborn has the same interests as me! So I printed out their cards, grabbed some markers, and off we went!

This red-billed duck started stalking us, and we got kinda scared, so we moved to the other side of the river..

After dinner, the boys and daddy played some football (a favorite these days).

This one had all he could take and was ready for bed...can't you tell?

What a GREAT, fun day!!

Easter Celebrations 2012

This Easter was filled with so many egg hunts! From church to playgroup to Easter morning and afternoon...I've had alot of egg filling to do!! So I compiled all of the Easter celebrations into 1 post so there wasn't so much repetition.
This is the hunt at church..Isaiah had a meltdown because he was only supposed to find 12 eggs, that way there was enough for all the children...he did not like that...and basically ruined the rest of the hunt for all of us!

Such a good picture of Ethan!!

Isaiah is a bit more happy in the rest of these...Lol!

Isaiah's preschool class, with Mrs. Colleen, our favorite!!

Btw, this is a stamp in the middle of Ethan's forehead. Its a mystery to us why he chose to put it there of all places...
